HOT ROD CARBON GRAIN Mixture for purification of grain distillates (150 g) The filtration technology for strong alcoholic beverages developed by our specialists involves a three-stage purification process, removing fusel oils, light aldehydes, ketones, methanol and other harmful impurities. Different grades of charcoal differ in the ratio of macro-, meso- and micropores in their structure. Macropores are less effective in purification and serve only as channels through which gas or liquid penetrate deep into the sorbent. Absorption of impurities occurs in mesopores and micropores. The recommended technology provides three stages of purification: - semi-fine; - fine; - ultra-fine. Semi-fine purification is carried out using mineral activated carbon. At this stage, more than 50% of impurities are adsorbed. Fine purification is carried out using vegetable activated carbon of special grades. The advantage of vegetable activated carbon is the presence of a large number of micropores: the surface area is 1.5-2 times larger than that of mineral carbon, which significantly improves its adsorption properties. For ultra-fine purification, a polymer adsorbent based on ion-exchange resins is used. The use of such a sorbent not only significantly improves the organoleptic (taste) properties of the product, but also gives strong alcoholic beverages a special smoothness, without adding any foreign odors or flavors to the purified product.
