Different types of charcoal differ in the ratio of macro-, meso-, and micropores in their structure. Fine purification is carried out using special grades of plant-based activated carbon. The advantage of plant-based activated carbon lies in its large number of micropores: the surface area is 1.5-2 times greater than that of mineral carbon, which significantly improves its adsorption properties.
