Next-generation gin basket for flavoring homemade spirits. It is installed in the column structure, aromatic ingredients (fruit zest, leaves, berries, etc.) are placed in the chamber, and distillation begins. Alcohol vapors pass through the ingredients, absorbing their aromas and flavors. The design with horizontally positioned fittings makes this gin basket universal — unlike K-shaped alternatives, it is compatible with all types of columns. It can also be installed after the dephlegmator/collection node and before the condenser, which further increases its efficiency — only purified alcohol vapors are subjected to flavoring. The detachable chamber with a lid allows aromatic ingredients to be added at any point during distillation. It is best to do this during the collection of the "heart". If ingredients are added at the beginning of distillation, the entire aromatic bouquet will be wasted on the "heads", which are not useful to us. The inner basket, where the ingredients are placed, features an ideal mesh surface — aromatic ingredients will not fall through, while alcohol vapors will easily penetrate inside. The foldable handle allows for comfortable removal of the basket with spent ingredients and easy replacement with fresh ones. At the base of the gin basket is a drain valve, which allows excess essential oils accumulated inside to be removed with a single turn. The device is compatible with 1.5-inch apparatus.
