The spirits filtration technology developed by our specialists involves a three-stage purification process, removing fusel oils, light aldehydes, ketones, methanol, and other harmful impurities. Different types of carbon are distinguished by the ratio of macro-, meso-, and micropores in their structure. Macropores are less effective in purification and serve only as channels through which gas or liquid penetrates deep into the sorbent. The absorption of impurities occurs in the mesopores and micropores. The recommended technology includes three purification stages: - semi-fine; - fine; - ultra-fine. Semi-fine purification is achieved through mineral activated carbon. At this stage, more than 50% of impurities are adsorbed. Fine purification is carried out using special grades of vegetable activated carbon. The advantage of vegetable activated carbon lies in its large number of micropores: its surface area is 1.5-2 times greater than that of mineral carbon, which significantly improves its adsorption properties. For ultra-fine purification, a polymer adsorbent based on ion-exchange resins is used. The use of such a sorbent not only significantly improves the organoleptic (taste) properties of the product, but also gives strong alcoholic beverages a particular smoothness, without introducing any foreign odors or flavors into the purified product. Method of use - Distillate purification method through a carbon column: 1. Soak the carbon blend in clean hot water for 20-30 minutes, then drain the water. 2. Load the blend into a glass or metal tube (layer height from 15 to 40 cm). 3. Place a layer of cheesecloth at the bottom of the tube.
