Gordon's London Dry Style Gin Spice Kit 12L
Composition: juniper, coriander, angelica root, cassia, liquorice, ginger root, nutmeg. Packaging: vacuum sealed. Weight: 250g. Gin spice kit in the style of Gordon's London Dry. The kit is designed to produce 12-15 L of gin using the steam infusion method or 5-8 L of gin using the maceration (steeping) method, depending on the desired intensity of aromas. Features vibrant aromas of juniper berries, coriander and wild berries. The taste is very dry, rich and clean. Wild berries, almonds, ginger and liquorice notes can also be detected. Preparing gin using the maceration method: You will need: 7-8 L of alcohol at 45-50% ABV, Hot Rod Gin Spice Kit. Preparation: First, prepare the tincture. Place all ingredients into a container, pour in 7-8 litres of alcohol at 45-50% ABV and steep for approximately 10-14 days in a dark, warm place. Shake daily. After macerating, filter the liquid and dilute with clean cold water to 30-35 degrees. Pour the diluted tincture into the distillation pot and set the heating device to medium temperature. If you used diluted alcohol or a good quality moonshine, it is sufficient to collect the first 50g of foreshots. Collect the "heart" until the stream reaches 45% ABV. It is important not to miss the moment - even minimal tails will cause the homemade gin to turn cloudy. Measure the strength of the resulting alcohol and dilute it to 45 degrees. Remember that gin is stronger than vodka, and diluting below 42 degrees will completely destroy the citrus notes. The finished drink should rest for one week. Preparing gin using the steam infusion method with a gin basket (This method is recommended by Hot Rod Distiller): You will need: 20 litres of diluted alcohol at 30% ABV, Hot Rod Gin Spice Kit, Hot Rod Gin Basket. Preparation: Grind the spices in a mortar (or blender). It is sufficient to just break the juniper berries. Avoid over-grinding the spices. Place the thoroughly mixed spices into the gin basket and fill the distillation pot.
