Let it infuse for one week, shaking well once a day. Then add 1.5 L of 40% ABV alcohol. Filter the infusion through cheesecloth. If desired, add 1 tablespoon of sugar to soften the taste, preferably dissolved as a syrup. Let the drink rest for 5-7 days.
