Christmas Rum Infusion Spice Kit (3 l)

Christmas Rum Recipe You will need: - 2.4 l of alcohol or vodka with 40% strength - spice kit (the kit is designed for 3 l of finished product) - honey – 50 g - water – 750 ml Preparation: Place all the spices in a container and pour the alcohol over them. Seal tightly and place in a dark, warm spot (near a radiator for faster extraction). Let the drink infuse for one week, shaking the container periodically. After 7 days, filter the infusion through a fine sieve or several layers of cheesecloth. It is recommended to taste the infusion before filtering – if the aroma and flavor seem weak, leave it for a couple more days. Prepare the syrup: dissolve 50 g of honey in 450 ml of water and place over heat. Stir continuously until the honey is fully dissolved. Do not bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cool to room temperature, skim off any foam if present, and add to the infusion. Then pour another 300 ml of water into the pot used to make the syrup, rinse it, and add that water to the infusion as well. In total, you should obtain approximately 3 l of product. Once the infusion and syrup are combined, the Christmas Rum is ready.
