Golden Rum Infusion Spice Kit (3 L)

Preparation: Place all ingredients into a jar, pour the alcohol over them, and leave to infuse for 10 days in a dark place, shaking daily. Strain through several layers of cheesecloth, transfer the drink into a clean jar, returning the prunes and oak chips. Allow to mature for another week, then carefully filter and, if needed, lightly sweeten (preferably with dark cane sugar). Place the jar with the oak chips aside to rest again, this time for one month. After this period, filter once more and enjoy. Homemade rum made with this recipe has a beautiful light-brown color, a slightly spicy aroma, and goes down smoothly.
