The kit contains smoked malt, which gives the drink an intense smoky phenolic scent that dominates the flavor profile. The finish is long and pleasant. The ideal base is a double-distilled grain distillate. Vodka or ethyl alcohol diluted to 45–50% can also be used, although the result will be slightly inferior. You will need: the spice kit and 21 L of alcohol at 45–50% strength. Preparation: Pour the contents of the kit into the alcohol. Leave to infuse in a dark place for 7 days. Shake periodically. After infusing, strain the liquid and let it rest for another 3–5 days.
