FRENCH OAK CHIPS GRADIENT M+ USAGE TIPS: 'Gradient' chips are oak pieces ground to a fraction of 2-6 mm, obtained from boards toasted using the gradient method. The gradual toasting preserves a wide range of oak flavor properties. This product most closely resembles the taste characteristics of aging in an oak barrel. DOSAGE: 2 g/l for a light flavor; 4 g/l for a noticeable flavor; 6 g/l for a rich flavor; 10 g/l for an intense flavor. Maceration time: from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the desired result. M+ – enhanced medium toast level. Imparts a vanilla flavor with hints of coconut, spices, apricot, peach, and floral notes.
