Magnum Hops, 100 g
Hallertauer Magnum is proof to the world that aroma is not the most important quality in a hop. The Hop Research Institute in the German city of Halle developed this variety, which has become the second largest produced alpha variety in the region. Hallertauer Magnum, or simply Magnum, is commonly used as a bittering base in many beer recipes. It does not stand out for a particularly vibrant aroma, and while this may be a drawback for other varieties, for Magnum it is a significant advantage, allowing it to be used at the beginning of the boil thanks to its high alpha acid content of 15.7%. Characteristics: Alpha acid: 15.7% | Beta acid: 7% | Beer styles: Lager, Porter, Lambic, Bitter, Extra Special Bitter, English Pale Ale, Pilsner. The hops are sold in vacuum packaging, which excellently preserves the aroma and extends shelf life.
